Congrats on closing.  I am really excited for you.  I hope you enjoy the home and have great memories there. There is a little housekeeping that needs to be done.

  • Filing for your homestead exemption. Below is some information about what it is an when to file. There is also an attachment that has more information about the homestead exemption and links to where and how to file. Please take a look at it.

  • The second thing is a review of my services. My buying coordinator, Charm, will be sending you a link to the online Zillow review. It is very important to me so please fill it out and be as candid as possible. I have a thick skin.

If you have any questions about the homestead exemption or the client satisfaction – call me I am glad to help. Other than that I wanted to say I really enjoyed helping you find a home and I appreciate the fact that you trusted me to help you.  It means a lot.

I don’t ask for referrals but what I usually say is – if you liked my services please keep me in mind if you know someone looking to buy or sell real estate.  I would be honored to help them and give them the same service I gave you. Enjoy your home and I will talk with you soon.

Homestead exemption – this is a one-time tax credit for owning a home.  It lasts for the life of the loan. So it is very important that you file for it.  You will not be able to file for it until you get the deed back. You will get the deed back 6-8 weeks from the closing.  After the closing – the deed is sent for recording and then once recorded it will be sent to you. I have attached a document with the information on how to file.
